In honor of breast cancer awareness month, Better Care has been out and about educating the community on breast health.
“Early detection is the key to treating breast cancer, however, because many individuals with breast cancer do not have symptoms- self-breast exams and imaging testing are recommended yearly to detect any abnormalities.” This is the message we want to make sure everyone hears.
We thank PHA Wilson Park Satellite and the Marconi Senior Center for allowing us to come to speak on the topic. It was a pleasure to educate the residents as well as listen to their experiences, survival stories, and more.
